Void Hunters Community Update - August 2026

Hey Hunters,

What a month, huh? Some parts of the world got a total solar eclipse, which sadly was not one of our marketing stunts, while we kept working on Void Hunters through the summer heat, both in the daylight and in the shadows.

So, let’s jump into a few of the updates we’ve been preparing behind the scenes.

More Improvements for the PC Version

We have another set of improvements coming for PC players.

We managed to bring more extensive keyboard support to combat, which should let you keep the battle flowing without constantly reaching for the mouse. This includes both skill selection and choosing which enemy you want to target.

Keyboard navigation through the UI should also feel a bit better. How far we take this support in the future will depend heavily on your feedback during upcoming tests and after launch.

Improving the Audio Design

During the Alpha, we only managed to include the first iteration of many sounds and SFX, so now the audio is getting the refresh it needs.

Combat sounds, skill effects, environmental ambience, and the overall feel of the game’s audio are all getting some attention.

You should be able to hear many of these updates yourself in the next playable tests.

The New World Map View

Our world map view has now received a proper rework.

Showing it in full would spoil far too much at this point, but we can at least leave you with a few hints. Below, you can see a zoomed-in work-in-progress view of the Archlands, the region you were able to explore during the Alpha.

The goal is to give you a much better sense of the scale, atmosphere, and diversity of the world of Void Hunters. Next on the list is giving the more detailed regional map view a facelift as well.

A New Look for the Hunting Grounds

We are making steady progress on the overhauled Hunting Grounds, which you will be able to test during the Playtest coming this fall.

We are not going to spoil too much just yet, but we can give you another small look at where things are heading.

Take a good look at the screenshot and see what you can spot.

And of course, this is still very much work in progress, so do not get too attached to every button, number, or detail you see there just yet.

We launched Community Trials

There is also a very good reason to join our Discord right now, especially if waiting for the next playable build feels a little too long.

We recently launched Community Trials, a web-based series of weekly challenges built around game lore, community knowledge, characters, and your attention to detail.

The current season will run until the end of September. Along the way, you can climb the weekly and seasonal leaderboards, collect achievements, and fight for a place in the Grand Trial, where the best eligible players will compete for exclusive Void Hunters merch.

How does it work?
First, make sure you are part of our Discord server and grab the proper role by heading to #dev-updates and clicking the button there.

Then you can enter the Trials website and see how much you really know. Good luck. Some of these are definitely not going to be easy.

Join our Discord to enter Community Trials and over 20 000 members to chat about Void Hunters!
