Void Hunters Alpha Is Now Live!

We’re excited to announce that the Alpha rollout has officially begun.


Just a reminder: the only way to join the Alpha is through our official Discord server. This is where you can register, receive access details, stay informed about updates, get support, and share feedback with the team.

To help ensure a smooth and stable experience, access is being granted in waves. If you’ve already signed up, keep an eye on your Discord messages for further instructions. If you haven’t joined yet, registrations are still open.

Thanks to your incredible support, the Void Hunters Discord community has already grown to over 5,000 members before the Alpha even began. That kind of response gives us a strong foundation for gathering feedback, stress-testing the game, and shaping Void Hunters into the game we want it to become.

Available platforms:

The Alpha is currently available on:

  • iOS (via TestFlight)
  • Android (via private Google Play page)
  • PC (through Windows Store)

It already supports cross-play and cross-progression, so you can switch between devices as long as you are logged into the same Discord account.

As this is still an Alpha version, please expect bugs, balance issues, technical problems, and rapid changes as we continue improving the game. Your feedback will be essential in helping us refine the experience throughout the test.

Important information

  • The Alpha servers will remain online until May 26
  • All progress made during the Alpha will be wiped

What’s New in This Alpha

Compared to the previous Closed Alpha, this build delivers a major expansion in both content and overall quality.
Here are some of the biggest additions and improvements:

New Content Compared to Closed Alpha

  • Added 10 new playable characters, increasing the total roster to 40.
  • Expanded the main story campaign to span 5 distinct locations.
  • Expanded Hunting Grounds to cover 4 distinct regions, each with 8 difficulty tiers to progress through and master.
  • Improved Challenge Mode, featuring 13 staged gameplay challenges across 3 different challenge types.
  • Added a new Patrol mode, allowing players to earn HG-based resources based on their mastery tier.


Gameplay, Balance and Progression

  • Implemented a broad balance pass across characters, skills, Hunt, Challenges, and Void Menace systems.
  • Expanded and refined balance support for later progression layers, including higher HG and ML content.
  • Reworked Hunt gating parameters, progression pacing, and entry-cost logic.
  • Changed prey sequence to better support targeted Hunt objectives.
  • Updated boost and exclusion logic in cases where characters are removed from the active team during event or escort flows.
  • Added support for more controlled/fixed Gacha outcomes in selected FTUE and progression flows.
  • Unified reward and unlock presentation across selected progression systems, including character unlock flows.


Hunting Grounds

  • Improved Hunting Grounds UI readability across boost descriptions, labels, headers, bars, and informational elements.
  • Reworked boost detail windows to create more room for content and reduce heavy visual framing.
  • Improved contrast and clarity of text in boost descriptions, especially for stat values and white text elements.
  • Added and polished icons, portraits, and visual linking for preys, elite packs, and Hunt-related components.
  • Improved encounter flow, unlock sequences, ending screens, and Void Menace sequences.
  • Fixed the Renegade encounter blocker when no boosts were available.
  • Improved camera behavior and scene framing on selected Hunt maps and underground areas.
  • Refined Hunt-to-HUB button integration and improved action clarity within the screen context.


Combat

  • Improved combat HUD layout, including boosts, global traits, and general combat UI placement.
  • Standardized boost descriptions, including showing character names instead of placeholder labels.
  • Refined tooltip readability, spacing, alignment, and label placement.
  • Removes 0% values in combat where they do not provide useful information.
  • Reorganized and cleaned up combat settings/options.
  • Expanded and tuned battle speed support.
  • Fixed cases where Idle-Breaker-style effects could trigger incorrectly in specific states.
  • Improved squad framing and camera behavior in selected combat scenarios.
  • Expanded audio/SFX coverage for round start, hits, death, healing, shields, buffs, and debuffs.


Quests and Challenges

  • Added a broader polish and bug-fix pass for Quests, including centering on active tasks, claim interactions, unlock flow, and screen focus behavior.
  • Improved long questline navigation so players are taken closer to the first incomplete objective.
  • Added and polished multiple Challenge-related improvements:
  • better distinction between active and inactive Challenges,
  • improved mini-leaderboard and subtitle alignment,
  • list and rotation flow improvements,
  • QoL support for organizing or hiding Challenges in the list.
  • Added related analytics and telemetry events.


Meta, World Map and Campaign

  • Unified Meta flows with newer reward/unlock presentation patterns, including modal closing behavior and character unlock screens.
  • Improved World Map dragging UX and general map interaction behavior.
  • Added camera focus/centering improvements when unlocking new map elements.
  • Hid or polished selected counters and markers until the corresponding content is unlocked.
  • Improved readability of HG icons and related map indicators.
  • Cleaned up Campaign flows, including treasure nodes, star-reward communication, and selected dialogue transitions.
  • Fixed selected blockers and unclear progression behavior in Campaign flow.


HUB, Team Select and Character View

  • Aligned HUB, Team Select, and Character View elements with the newer UI standard.
  • Improved labels, icons, and active areas above HUB facilities.
  • Reduced or limited excessive gyroscope effect in the HUB.
  • Prevented selected 3D animations and FTUE-related HUB flows from being skipped in ways that could break progression.
  • Fixed selected Team Select presentation issues, including duplicate-character cases and inconsistent section behavior.
  • Improved modal behavior, including tap-outside closing where appropriate.
  • Improved button readability and close behavior in Character View.


Gear, Shop and Economy

  • Refined Gear panel layout and the handling of “New” states.
  • Improved behavior around clearing, hiding, and persisting New/Hide Equipped states.
  • Improved gear sorting, filtering, slot readability, and equipped-state presentation.
  • Fixed character portrait display on equipped gear where needed.
  • Improved shop click areas, tile usability, and general store UX.
  • Cleaned up free-item behavior and shop refresh consistency.
  • Expanded handling of currencies and sinks across Shop, Market, PvP, and Gacha systems.
  • Added or updated weighted-offer logic based on reward groups and definitions.


PvP Arena

  • Improved scroll areas and section anchoring.
  • Unified bottom action buttons and navigation presentation.
  • Refined section headers, global trait placement, and general layout consistency.
  • Updated or prepared banner assets and selected PvP screens for improved presentation.


Characters, Visuals and Dialogues

  • Added visual improvements for selected characters, minibosses, and enemies.
  • Increased readability of states, silhouettes, and VFX differentiation.
  • Improved character scale and readability in combat and map scenes.
  • Improved character presentation in dialogues, including framing, edge spacing, and better consistency with Character View.
  • Reviewed selected cloth/physics setups for character presentation.
  • Replaced or updated some outdated assets where they no longer matched the current visual standard.


Audio and Presentation

  • Improved music and ambient mixing across HUB, World Map, and Combat.
  • Added smoother transitions and crossfades between gameplay states.
  • Expanded the baseline set of combat and UI sound effects.


Tech and Polish

  • Fixed selected technical issues related to VSync and PC presentation.
  • Added graphics quality options.
  • Updated default audio settings to better match the intended build experience.
  • Reduced transient UI flicker in selected reveal/Character View transitions.
  • Added multiple smaller stability and systems-level fixes supporting FTUE, map flow, Hunt, shop flow, and reward handling.


Various Fixes

  • General readability, spacing, tooltip, label, icon, and modal improvements across the build.
  • Additional UI consistency pass to better align older screens with the newer visual standard.
  • Minor aesthetic and UX fixes grouped here where the original tickets were too small or too granular to list individually.
